Seller Guidelines

This page explains what StoreAO expects from participating shop owners, especially shops that are manually verified and enabled for online selling. StoreAO is a hyperlocal platform that helps users discover nearby shops. Some shops are visible for offline discovery only, while manually verified shops may also be enabled to accept online orders through the platform.

Listing Accuracy

  • Sellers must keep shop details, product information, stock, prices, and service availability reasonably accurate and up to date.
  • Misleading pricing, fake availability, manipulated ratings, or intentionally inaccurate shop information may lead to restriction or removal.
  • Only products and information that the seller is genuinely prepared to support should be displayed to users.

Order and Delivery Responsibilities

  • Sellers enabled for online selling remain responsible for order acceptance, preparation, packaging, delivery handling, and customer coordination.
  • Delivery timelines, delivery areas, COD handling, and order-status communication should reflect the seller's actual operational capability.
  • If a seller cannot fulfill an order, the seller should respond quickly and cooperate with support review where needed.

Refunds, Complaints, and Support

  • Sellers remain primarily responsible for refund eligibility, cancellation outcomes, item accuracy, and issue resolution tied to their orders.
  • Sellers are expected to cooperate with StoreAO support when a complaint, evidence review, or repeated-issue investigation is underway.
  • Failure to respond responsibly to user complaints may affect access to online-selling features on the platform.

Platform Integrity

  • Sellers must not use false identities, fake orders, review manipulation, spam, abusive communication, or deceptive practices on the platform.
  • Repeated policy violations, severe customer harm, or bad-faith activity may lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal.
  • StoreAO may review seller performance and trust signals to decide whether online-selling access should continue.

For users

Use StoreAO to discover nearby shops, compare offerings, contact shops, and place orders with verified online-selling sellers when that option is enabled.

  • Some shops are listed only for offline discovery, direct contact, and store visit support.
  • Verified online-selling shops may accept COD orders through the platform.
  • Users should review shop details, delivery terms, and seller policies before placing an order.

For shop owners

StoreAO gives shop owners a local discovery presence and may enable online selling only after manual verification.

  • Manual verification is required before a shop can be enabled for online selling on StoreAO.
  • Shop owners remain responsible for listings, pricing, stock, order acceptance, delivery, and refunds.
  • Repeated quality or complaint issues can lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, or removal of online-selling access.
