Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellation requests are generally handled for purchases involving participating shops on StoreAO. StoreAO is a hyperlocal platform that helps users discover nearby shops. Coverage is currently strongest in Srikakulam while more cities are being added. Shops that are not manually enabled for StoreAO platform orders are discovery/contact-only listings. Only shops that StoreAO verifies and enables for platform orders can sell through the StoreAO cart.

Discovery-Only Shops

If a user purchases directly from a discovery-only shop outside the platform, cancellation handling is controlled by that shop's own process and policy.
StoreAO may help users locate the correct shop contact path, but StoreAO does not directly process those cancellations.

Verified Online-Selling Shops

Where a shop is enabled to accept online orders through StoreAO, cancellation requests are usually possible only before the seller has started preparing, packing, or dispatching the order.
Once seller-side fulfillment has materially begun, cancellation may be denied or handled under the relevant seller policy.
Users should act quickly and use available support or order-management tools if they want to request cancellation.

Seller and Platform Roles

Participating shops remain primarily responsible for deciding cancellation eligibility based on order status, preparation stage, and applicable policy.
StoreAO may assist by receiving complaints, escalating requests, reviewing repeated issues, and taking platform-level action where needed.
StoreAO does not promise that every cancellation request will be approved.

For users

Use StoreAO to discover nearby shops, compare offerings, contact shops, and place orders with verified online-selling sellers when that option is enabled. Coverage may look lighter outside Srikakulam until more local sellers join.

Some shops are listed only for offline discovery, direct contact, and store visit support.
Only StoreAO-verified platform-order shops show cart ordering; discovery-only shops should be contacted by Call, WhatsApp, or store visit.
Verified online-selling shops may accept COD or configured payment methods through the platform.
Until StoreAO launches broader city delivery operations, delivery availability depends on the shop's own service radius, selected delivery distance, or direct arrangement with the customer.
Users should review shop details, delivery terms, and seller policies before placing an order.

For shop owners

StoreAO gives shop owners a local discovery presence and may enable online selling only after manual verification.

Manual verification is required before a shop can be enabled for online selling on StoreAO.
Before platform-order access is enabled, the shop can still use StoreAO for discovery, product visibility, calls, WhatsApp enquiries, and store visits.
Shop owners remain responsible for listings, pricing, stock, order acceptance, delivery, and refunds.
Shop owners can configure the delivery area or distance they are able to serve. StoreAO may launch broader city delivery systems only after enough local shop coverage exists.
Repeated quality or complaint issues can lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, or removal of online-selling access.
